Preparations are also underway for the ARDLER IN BLOOM competition which will see the launch event taking place on Friday the 27th April and Saturday the 28th April. The event is run by the Ardler Village Trust and supported by the Ardler Environment Group. Ardler in Bloom aims to continually improve our local private and public green spaces for pleasure, health, pride and the environment. It does this by working in partnership with residents and stakeholders to undertake practical and educational projects.

The project won the regeneration category within the Scotland in Bloom competition in 2005,06 and 07 before moving to the Urban Community section under Beautiful Scotland and gaining a silver in the 2008. Our annual entry into the national competition has helped galvanise action on our local environment and given local people and partners pride in their work.

For more information about the competition or the Ardler Environment Group and how you can get involved please contact the Trust Manager, Gillian Lochhead.
